Arctic Paws Sled Dogs

All the Arctic Paws Sled Dogs are named after places or things in the State of Arizona.  We did that just to be different and not have the expected Husky names like Denali, Tundra, Snow etc.  With the exception of P'Nut every Husky has a name that has a relationship to Arizona (our favorite state!)

Some of the Huskies we have had from puppies, others have been given to us by recues and shelters, still others brought to our door by owners wanting to give their dog a better life. Some belong to friends and family.

We have Siberian and Alaskan Huskies.

PicachoPicaPicacho are the pointed mountain peaks in Tucson AZSwing/Wheel4Gray & White Alaskan Pica, King & BB were abandoned by their owner along with 100 other huskies outside of Montreal Canada.  The HSUS and 13 US Shelter rescued all the dogs from grim circumstances.  We adopted them from WARL (Washington Area Rescue League) When we met Pica she was deemed unadoptable.  But by the time we got her home it was snowing and Pica joyfully licked the air and did snow angels.  We realized she just wanted to be with King and be outside. They are wonderful pets and amazing sled dogs.
